The filly Ulana van de Kempenhoeve and the colt Unico VD were named the winners of the 2020 Belgian Warmblood Foal Championship held on 12 September 2020.

The Championship was held at the yard of the Vanderhasselt jumper family in Wambeek, Belgium.

In the filly division five were selected to the champion's ring out of a field of 23 participating foals. The winner was Ulana van de Kempenhoeve, who is by Furst Jazz out of Golinde van de Kempenhoeve (by Apache x de Niro x Gottharsen x Wendekreis). She scored 91 points, the high score of the day in all dressage categories. Last year breeder Marc Dries won the Colt Championship with Titalis van de Kempenhoeve and this year he secured the Filly title. He also sold his foal on the spot after two offers came in. This year he bred dame Golinde to Secret.

The reserve champion was Ubrilenta van de Lufkenshoeve (by Escamillo x Stedinger), bred by Bart and Kris Timmermans-Vyncke. This filly scored 90 points.

The champion's ring for the colts had five young boys competing for the title and it was Ingrid Daeleman's Unico VD that received the champion sash. The colt is by Trakehner Schwarzgold out of H Black Lady (by Lord Leatherdale). He scored 90 points. Unico's dam is a full sister to licensed stallion Chippendale, which Daeleman bought at the Van Olst auction and got a free breeding at the same time. They chose stallion George Clooney and the colt that was born the next year is named Querido. H Black Lady then produced a filly, Talisa VD (by Don Martillo). The breeder's couple was looking for more nobility in 2019 and sought advice from the Trakehner studbook, which recommended Schwarzgold. They are so pleased with their champion Unico VD that they rebred the dam to Schwargold for 2021.

The reserve colt champion was Nick and An-Katrien Caeldries-De Waele's Unicorn van de Vogelzang (by Belantis x Quaterback). He finished second with 88 points.
