Colt Panthero van de Vogelzang and filly Pearly became the winners of the 2015 Belgian Warmblood Foal Championship held at Stable Hulsterlo in Meerdonk, Belgium on 29 August 2015.
The Belgian warmblood society has always been strongly focused on show jumping breeding but eighteen dressage bred colts and eighteen dressage fillies gathered at the National BWP Foal Championships to contest the dressage division. The five highest ranked colts and fillies of the first round qualified for the final round, during which the champions were picked.
In the colt category Nick and An Katrien Caeldries-de Waele are the proud owners of the winner: Panthero van de Vogelzang (by Belantis x Quaterback). Panthero scored 95 points. Mr Borghijs' Panta Rei Ter Dolen (by Quaterback x Furst Heinrich) became the reserve champion with 90 points, followed by De Kempenhoeve's Prinsfarell (by Farrell x Quaterback).
In the filly division Pearly (by Johnson x Rock Forever) became the top scorer of the day and claimed the national title. Bred by Mr Van Gils, Pearly scored 92 points and edged out De Kempenhoeve's Prettywoman (by Quaterback x Stedinger) who finished second with 91 points. Roland Corty's Penelope Ter Dieschoot (by Sandro Hit x Florestan) landed third place.
