Casey (by Sir Donnerhall x Furst Heinrich) was named the champion of the 2020 Oldenburg Elite Mare Show which, due to Covid 19, was held in Vechta instead of the usual venue, Rastede.

For the first time the Elite Mare Show moved to the Reiterwaldstadion of the Oldenburg Horse Center in Vechta. The event took place on Sunday 16 August 2020.

Ten mares were invited to the Champion ring, which is named "Brilliantring" by the Oldenburg breed society.

Casey

This year's champion was not a 3-year old, but in fact a 4-year old mare.

Casey, by Sir Donnerhall I out of C’est bon (by Fürst Heinrich x Rubinstein I) was named Oldenburg Mare Champion of 2020. Bred by the highly celebrated breeder Paul Wendeln and owned by son Peter, Casey is a full sister to the licensed Sir Heinrich OLD, and Bundeschampions Candy OLD, Caty OLD, and Cindy OLD.

Casey achieved an overall score of 8.67 in her mare performance test.

Ronja Räubertochter

The 3-year old Ronja Räubertochter, by Bon Coeur out of Räubertochter (by Romanov x Farewell I) was named Reserve Champion.

She is bred and owned by Friedrich Kuhlmann

HP Summer Breeze

The third ranked mare was the Danish bred 3-year old Oldenburg mare HP Summer Breeze. She is by For Romance II out of Summertime (by Fürstenball - Friedensfürst), bred and owned by Lone Boegh Henriksen of HP horses from Denmark.

The champion mare in the show jumping division is the 3-year old Only You (by Ogano out of Sunshine’s Botox by Balou du Rouet - Lord Liberty). She is bred by Katja Schwierking and owned by Katja & Arndt Schwierking. Jurwina's Girl (by Cornet Obolensky out of Jurwina, by Diarado - Couleur-Rubin), bred and owned by Peter Wendeln was named reserve champion.
