Filippa Jaeger Jensen became the new Danish Pony Champion winning the category 1 FEI pony division at the 2026 Danish Pony Championships at Dorthe Rohmann's Hovgaard equestrian centre on 21 - 23 August 2026.

The main division at the Danish pony championships for FEI athletes is the category 1 division for the tallest ponies. All four Danish team riders participated in the nationals and it was Filippa Jaeger Jensen who claimed the title, albeit not on her Danish team pony. The nationals took place over two rounds, the team test and kur to music. The 15 best of the team test moved on the freestyle and the two scores were totalled for a final ranking.

For the Nationals the young semi-professional rider saddled HJK Catani. Despite her young age Filippa has already competed a string of different ponies under the supervision of her mom, professional rider and Danish 2018 WEG team rider Betina Jaeger Jensen. With Catani (by Crazy Dynamic JK x FS Don't Worry) Jaeger won both rounds on 76.714% and 80.475% to finish on a winning total of 157.189 points.

"It's so amazing to have such amazing experiences with the best ponies. I'm so proud and eternally grateful for my ponies and all the people who make all this possible," Filippa told Ridehesten.

Following far in the distance was team rider and last year's champion Steffanie Horsted Dyrlund aboard the 11-year old German bred Cosmo Callidus (by Cosmopolitan D x Cyriac) with 74.536% and 78.075%. Their total was 152.611 points.

The bronze was for Agnes Ørnskov Beier on the 9-year old Der Kleine Champion (by Diamond Touch x Londontime) with 73.875% and 78.475%.

The category 2 division for smaller FEI ponies was won by Emily Lee Vestergaard aboard Norlunds Coer de Luxe (by Coer Noble x Doucan) with 71.804% and 74.85%. She stayed ahead of Hannah Nørup Schmidt on Spirit-Kick (Clausholm Donatello x Attention) with 69.429% and 73.40%; and Rosa Duval Laursen on Stald Magic My Way (by Lykkehojs Bodypaint x Don Kennedy) with 69,107% and 71,225%.
