2014 Danish Pony Championships

Danish Sandra Aagaard Hyrm and her German Riding Pony stallion Der Harlekin B won the 2014 Danish FEI Pony Championships held in Vilhelmsborg, Denmark on 14 - 17 August 2014. The silver medal went to Sara van Deurs Petersen, the bronze to Anne Sophie Sorensen.

Sandra Aagaard Hyrm and her 12-year old pony Der Harlekin B (by Golden Dancer x Dornik B) were untouchable at the National Championships, winning all three rounds with top seventy percentage scores. Hyrm posted marks of 73.846% in the team test, 76.098% in the individual test and 79.100% in the Kur to Music to total 229.044 points for the gold.

Hyrm was a member of the Danish team that competed at the 2014 European Pony Championships. Her biggest team competitor in Millstreet was Karoline Rohmann on the 8-year old Adriano B (by De Angelo x Flying Dream) but after a few mistakes in the individual test she dropped out of medal range and finished fourth overall.

The silver went to Danish team member Sara van Deurs Petersen on the dark bay 11-year old Farbenfroh (by Farewell x Rakt's Rocky). The duo scored 71.709%, 72.561% and 76.900% to total 221.17 points for silver.

New comer on the Danish scene, Anne Sophie Gerstorf Sorensen and the experienced 11-year old Klooster's Eltino (by Aester El Nino x Bright Moon xx) edged out the rest of the competition to claim the last and bronze step on the podium with marks of 71.239%, 73.049% and 73.850% to finish on 218.138 points.
