2012 Danish Pony Championships

Victoria Vallentin and her palomino mare Natalina were crowned champions at the 2012 Danish Pony Championships held in the beautiful outdoor arena of the inner courtyard at Vilhelmsborg in Denmark on 10 - 12 August 2012. As Vallentin renewed the title she captured in 2011, the silver went to Kristine Koch, while bronze was for Maria Christensen.

Vallentin and her 13-year old unregistered mare were unbeatable at the Nationals, scoring 77.009% in the first round and 75.902% in the second round to total the highest average for gold. Kristina Koch and her 13-year old German bred Dornick Son (by Dornik B x Bourbon) were good for silver with two second place finishes on 73.419% and 74.488%. Both the gold and silver medal winning riders are trained by Soren Vallentin.

Maria Christensen and her 9-year old Danish bred Dutch Welsh pony Vegelin's Goya (by Verona's Bo-Gi x Leunsveld's Darling Boy) settled for bronze after placing fourth in round 1 (72.735%) as well as in round two (72.683%).
