Go For Romance PS, an 8-year old Oldenburg stallion co-owned by Paul Schockemöhle and the Redefin state stud, has been sold to the United States.
Go For Romance PS is a 2018 born stallion by Governor out of Furtherance (by Furst Romancier x Sir Donnerhall x Don Schufro).
Licensed Stallion
He is bred by Paul Schockemöhle at Gestüt Lewitz out of one of Paul's most successful brood mares and dam lines. Dam Furtherance is the full sister to licensed stallions For Romance I, II, and Fürst Donnerhall PS, as well as to Bundeschampion and PSI auction price highlight Fasine. He's closely related to Golden Romance Malleret PS who recently also sold to the U.S.A.
Go For Romance PS sold as a 2.5 year old in the PS Online Colt Auction in October 2020 for 130,000 euro. The sale ended up being a co-ownership between Redefin and Schockemöhle.

He covered a small number of mares and has 35 offspring registered with the German equestrian federation.
Sport Career
He was first put in training with Svea Gross, who debuted him in the riding horse and A-level tests in the spring of 2022. In 2023 Svea piloted Go For Romance PS in the L-level tests and competed him in the Bundeschampionate qualifier in Redefin.
The stallion moved back to Schockemöhle's station in 2024 and the ride was allocated to American Brandi Roenick. She showed the stallion twice at local events in the summer of 2024. There were no competitions in 2025
Sold to the U.S.A.
Go For Romance PS has now been sold to Americans Emily and Dianne Georgian-Smith. Lindsey O’Keefe, the U.S partner to Paul Schockemöhle, brokered the sale.

"I am so excited for this family," said agent Lindsey O’Keefe, who has sold several of Schockemöhle's horses to the States over the last year. "Go For Romance will be developed under the instruction of American Grand Prix rider Claire Darnell and to be shown and campaigned as a gelding, piloted by Emily."
Emily Georgian-Smith is a Florida based professional rider, holding the USDF Bronze, Silver, and Gold medal. Her career starting international horse was the Hanoverian gelding Dublin (by Desperados x Weltgeist) who took her from Young Riders in 2015 to the 2017 North American Young Riders Championships and into the Under 25 division. They competed in senior CDI Grand Prix tests through 2023.
In 2023, Emily started law school at Florida A&M University College of Law. She will be graduating from law school this May. She continues to show Dublin at the national big tour level where he has received scores up to 80% in the Grand Prix freestyle and has received multiple US Hanoverian Year-End champion titles.
Emily trains with Claire Darnell out of Marcus Fyffe Dressage in Loxahatchee Groves, Florida.
