Herzrose D has been named the 2020 Westfalian Elite Pony Mare Champion at the 2020 Westfalian Young Horse Championships in Munster, Germany, on 29 July - 2 August 2020.

The 2020 Westfalian Young Horse Championships is made up of saddle classes as well as a breed show. The best three- and four-year-old pony mares presented themselves to the commission consisting of Thomas Münch, Katrin Tosberg, Michael Recker and Mareile Oellrich-Overesch.

The 22 mares shown were divided into three rings. On the final ring the best ten presented themselves once again.

Herzrose D (by Herzkonig out Verband premium mare Prada D (by Casino Royal K) was named the Champion. She is bred and owned by Danica Duen. On Thursday the elegant mare convinced in the riding pony test under saddle and scored 8.4 points. The beautifully dun mare convinced the jury in her conformation.

"Standing well in the riding pony type she passed an excellent mare performance test. She showed herself equipped with a lot of acceleration and go," said the grading committee.

The reserve champion is Glücksgefühle K (by Hesselteich's Golden Dream out of State premium mare Dora (by FS Don't Worry). She is bred by the ZG Klüsener. She placed second in the riding pony test. In hand the palomino mare trotted through the triangle with a lot of elasticity and mechanics. "With on a good foundation, she convinced with a wonderfully presented top-line," the judges added.
