Children rider Sandra Górska, junior rider Maria Charaszkiewicz, young rider Caroline Pawluk, and senior Grand Prix rider Sandra Sysojeva won the titles at the Polish Dressage Championships held at the 2026 CDI Gościszów on 17 - 20 September 2026.

It was the first Polish Dressage Championship organized at Dawid Szelechowicz' stable. With circa 120 entries the show was definitely the most well attended one of the outdoor season in Poland. The Nationals combined all divisions, except FEI pony level. Those Championships were held in June in Radzionkow and won by German born Stella Mańkowski.

The panel of judges officiating in Gościszów included  Nicole Nockemann (3* GER), Alice Schwab (4* AUT), Hans Voser (3* SUI), Barbara Ardu (3* ITA), Paula Nysten (3* FIN), Andrea Smith (2* GBR), Sandrine Trimborn (3* FRA), Małgorzata Pawłowska (3* POL), Marlena Gruca- Rucińska (3* POL) and chair Lukasz Walter (3* POL).

Sysojeva on Repeat for Another Polish Grand Prix Champion's Title

The Senior podium was taken by three riders living outside Poland, two of whom represented the country at the 2026 World Championships at Aachen, Germany.

Golden Medal - Sandra Sysojeva and Maxima Bella
Silver Medal – Roy First and Ecstasy F / Infinity Win T
Bronze Medal – Dagmara Reuben and Zonetic

While it was the third victory and the third Champion's title in a row for Sandra Sysojeva, the two other Senior medalists debuted on the podium. Belgian based and former Israeli rider Roy First claimed two silver medals (the other one in the Small Tour Poland’s Cup which he also narrowly lost to Sysojeva). First was pretty satisfied with his performance and being a part of national team

Roy First and Ecstasy F
“I officially declared for Poland in the beginning of 2025. This year I was a part of Polish team at World Championships in Aachen. My father’s family is from Poland and that’s why I applied for and was granted Polish citizenship," he said. "I feel great being a part of our team. The atmosphere is amazing. There is still some room for improvement in my riding especially in Big Tour level. I have decided to choose Ecstasy for the Freestyle here. Infinity had his moments to shine in Aachen. It has been a very busy summer for me and now comes the time to breathe out. I’m planning to start the indoor season in Opglabbeek, Belgium and maybe some World Cup shows to get more experience. My Small Tour horse is ready for GP and I want to spend some time to bring him up. Taking the winter a little bit easier without pressure. Next year is the qualifier for the Olympics and I’m really counting on my chestnut one - Malchus P which has been with me for two and a half years. He is eager to work in a positive way. He is nine, a bit green so we need to build up his confidence in the show arena. He is my LA perspective. It is my second time in Gościszów. The atmosphere is incredible and so much effort they’re putting in organizing the show.”

The bronze medal went to newcomer Dagmara Reuben, who is based in Aachen, Germany. She won her first ever Polish Championship medal.

Dagmara Rueben and Zonetic
“The season has been very good for me and Zonetic," said Dagmara. "We have grown up together to the Grand Prix level and now we are really enjoying it. We have so much fun during the test and the feeling is amazing. Zonetic is home bred and I have had him since he was a foal. He is a very sensitive, yet very positive horse. Always trying to do his best. It is our first medal and the whole team has been very supportive here. My plan for the indoor season is to build more confidence at the GP level. Next step is a show in Troisdorf (GER) and of course we want to come back to Gościszów next year. Zonetic has got used to travelling longer distances."

Rueben did not expect to be on the podium but was happy she achieved the feat. "Everybody should believe in doing so but I always try to ride a good test and to have good feeling with the horse," said Rueben. "That’s the most important for me. And step by step the rest will come by itself.”

Gorska, Charaszkiewicz, Pawluk Win Youth Titles

The medalists of Polish Championships in remaining categories:

Children:

Golden Medal – Sandra Górska and Fantastico
Silver Medal - Aleksandra Machniewicz and Baldessarini
Bronze Medal – Karolina Król and Boogie Wonderland

Sandra Górska on Fantastico
The winner of this class was Sandra Górska. She can claim both a very challenging and successful season.

“The season has been quiet challenging for me and full of great moments too. Qualifying to the Final at the Europeans was the highlight of it. I have two horses now: Nissie and Fantastico. I’ve decided to bring Fantastico to Gościszów. He is a bit less sensitive than Nissie so he is a bit easier to ride. I have been riding him for three years now. So I followed my coach’s advice to bring him here and it worked out pretty well. My coach Marcin Woldański is the best I’ve ever had and I really hope to train with him for a long time. My plan for next season is to qualify to Europeans and to compete in Biały Las.”

Junior Riders

Golden Medal – Maria Charaszkiewicz and Sekundengluck SL / Bonne Amour
Silver Medal - Milena Hochhaus and Handretti
Bronze Medal - Maja Kucharska and Kojack

Maria Charaszkiewicz on Bonne Amour
Maria Charaszkiewicz competed with two horses in Gościszów: a six-year-old Hanoverian mare Sekundengluck, who also competed at the 2026 World Young Horse Championships in Verden under her coach Ilona Janas, and her 13-year-old OLD mare Bonne Amour which she chose for the Saturday’s Freestyle. Milena Hochhaus and Handretti, who debuted at Junior level, were back on silver like last year in the children division.  Maj Kucharska and Kojack swapped their 2025 Junior silver medal for a 2026 bronze one. The Junior Class was the most filled one with 16 entries.

Young Riders

Golden Medal – Caroline Pawluk and Furst Fernando OLD
Silver Medal – Veronica Pawluk and Falette OLD
Bronze Medal – Natalia Plata and Dolcetto

Caroline Pawluk and Furst Fernando OLD
The battle for medals in the Young Riders Class turned out to be a real Sister Act. The eldest, Caroline Pawluk,  claimed victory this time. The younger and more decorated sister, Veronica,  lost the gold to her older sister by the narrow margin of 0,003%. A glitch in Veronica's music in the freestyle affected the ride. The bronze went to the longtime partnership of  Natalia Plata and Dolcetto who have been competing internationally since the Children division.

Next year the Polish Championships will move to a new spot on the map of Polish and international dressage: Jaszkowo. Gościszów remains on the calendar as it is planning to host two CDI-W shows – one in June and the other in September 2027.

Under 25

Only one pair complete all three rounds of the Under 25 championship and was the automatic winner: Maria Stemaszyk aboard the 13-year old Hanoverian gelding Despacito (by Desperados x Belissimo M). She scored 66,617%, 62,308% and 67,840%. Klaudia Halela and the 14-year old Oldenburg gelding Chikoto (by Chinook x Likoto) twice scored 58%.
