
Riding horses Flashdance ANW and Atlanta, as well as dressage horses Jamey, Evita, Broadmoars Waiana, and Finest Edition GMS became the winners of the 2025 Austrian Warmblood Young Horse Championships held annually in Stadl Paura, Austria.
The 2025 edition took place on 19 - 21 September 2025.
Riding Horses: Flashdance ANW and Atlanta
The AWO bred riding horses competed in two separate classes, judged by Ernst Mayr (AUT) and Hella Kunz (GER), while Walter Seidl served as guest judge rider.
In the 3-year old division Flashdance ANW (by Flashbang x Dauphin x Weltmeyer) was named national champion. Bred by Nina Wagner and presented by Christina WInkler, this premium stallion scored straight 9s for walk, trot, canter, confirmation, general impression and from the test rider.
In the 4-year old riding horse class the mare Atlanta (by Marc Cain x Desperados) topped the board. Bred by Wolfgang Wörgötter and presented by Kerstin Kronaus this mare totalled 8,75 points.
The riding pony champion in the combined 3 and 4-year old class was licensed stallion Double Jackpot PP (by Dallmayr K x The Breas My Mobility), bred and owned by Erich & Bianca Pürstinger). under Julia Strilka he scored a total of 8,5 points.
4+5-YO: Jamey
The 4 and 5-year olds were grouped together and it was Marie-Theres Holzleitner-Senck and the 4-year old Jamey (by Jameson x Don Index) who topped the board with a final score of 8,64 points. The horse scored 8 for walk, 8.5 for trot, 9.2 for canter, 8.5 for submission and 9 for general impression.
The runner up was Barbara Bloderer aboard the 5-year old Glücksperle (by Desperados x Benicio) with a total of 8.60 points. This pair received 9 for walk, 8.8 for trot, 8.3 for canter, 8.4 for submission and 8.5 for general impression from judges Brigitta Keiblinger and Sabine Meusburger.
5-6-YO: Evita
Judges Ladislav Fabris and Elfriede Hazrati had to do the sorting in the 5/6-year old division in which 14 pairs competed.
Martina Knill-Suppan and her 5-year old mare Evita (by Escamillo x Morricone) aced the division with 8.74 points in total. Her dark bay mare got 8.5 for walk, 9 for trot, 8.7 for canter, 8.5 for submission and 9 for general impression. A month ago the duo represented Austria at the World Young Horse Championships in Verden.
Anna Stovall and the 5-year old Broadmoars For Passion, last year's winner, was now second with 8.68 points in total. The For Romance x Furst Piccolo offspring got 8.5 for walk and canter, 8.8 for trot, 8.5 for submission and 8.8 for general impression.
6-7-YO: Broadmoars Waiana
Six pairs competed in the 6 and 7-year old age class, judged by Elisabeth Hudec-Semeleder and Sabine Meusburger.
Stephanie Dearing and Broadmoars Waiana (by Desperado x Bailamos Biolley) won the title with 8.52 points in total. The 7-year old chestnut recei ed 7.8 for walk, 9.5 fo rtrot, 8.3 for canter, 8 for submission and 9 for general impression.
Kerstin kronaus and Nassera MB (by Zenon VDL x Fairbanks) landed second place with 8.32 points. Her 6-year old black got 8.5 for walk, 8.4 for trot, 8.2 for canter, 8 for submission and 8.5 for general impression.
7-8-YO: Finest Edition GMS
Only three pairs showed up for this developing Prix St Georges horse division with Nicole Berghofer and Finest Edition GMS (by Finest Selection x Weltmeyer) topped the board with 76.159%. The horse got 68.718% for the technical riding of the test and 83.60 points for gaits and submission.
Bettina Kendlbacher and Ettore (by Escolar x Farewell III) was second on a score of 70.372% with 64.744% as technical mark and 76% for gaits and submission. Ettore is bred by Ferdinand Sanlader.
