Jan Pedersen has been re-elected president of the Danish warmblood society at the board meeting on Saturday 8 February 2014. Pedersen will start his 11th two-year term as president.

Jan was first elected president in 1994. Ever since Jan Pedersen has been re-elected president every second year and after 20 years the society saw no reason to change it.

When the spokesman announced the election of president as the next item on the agenda it was clear that Jan Pedersen had no opponents. Everyone of the approximately 160 participants in the meeting room rose to applaud the leader of their organisation.

It was quite a moving moment to witness the massive support for the person who has long ago gone down in history as the one who has held the position as president for the longest time in the history of Danish Warmblood.

"I am a soft guy, so this may be a little difficult for me, the clearly moved president said. I do this only because I really like it and because I am passionate about the work," Pedersen commented.

Jan Pedersen is also president of the WBFSH since 1999.
