Hanoverian Stallion Segantini Gelded

Breeding

Hanoverian

Gestut Famos' Hanoverian licensed stallion Segantini has been gelded to be focused fully on his sport career.

Segantini is an 8-year old Hanoverian stallion by Secret out of Financial Times (by Fidermark x Dream of Heidelberg). He is bred and owned by Christine Feichtinger.

Licensed Stallion

He was first licensed by the Hanoverian verband on 11 December 2020 and five days later the Oldenburg verband approved him too. He did his 50-day stallion performance test in Adelheidsdorf in the autumn of 2021 and scored 9.03 for dressage. Gestut W.M. obtained the breeding rights.

He was initially trained and competed by Swedish Jessica Lynn Thomas, who took him to bronze at the Hanoverian Young Horse Championships in Verden in the 3-year old division. In 2022 the pair was second in the Hanoverian Young Horse Championships in the 4-year old stallion class and placed second at the 2022 Bundeschampionate. However, due to the disqualification of San to Alati, Segantini moved into the winner's position.

Gestut Famos

In March 2023 Segantini sold to Maik Kanitzky's Gestut MK Ammerland, which later merged with Gestut Famos.

Segantini initially stood up for stud via Martin Determann, but then moved in training with Dorothee Schneider. She debuted him at a local show in Zeutern in March 2024 and took him to the 2024 World Young Horse Championships in Ermelo, where they were 5th in the 6-year old final.

In 2025 Schneider and Segantini established themselves at small tour level with five shows down their belt before going to the World Young Horse Championships in Verden, where they were 10th in the 7-year old final.

Gelded

Segantini has not competed in 2026 and it was decided to geld him.

"Segantini is no longer a stallion," Schneider confirmed to Eurodressage. "The goal is top sport because it is very, very talented. Frozen semen is abundant at the stud farm Famos."
