Eqwo.net reported the sad news that Vivien Wolf-Döller, a former Austrian Youth Team rider and medal winner, has passed away on 30 December 2025. She was 42 years old.

Vivian "Vivi" Wolf grew up with a love for horses. At the young age of seven she learnt riding at the Wunschek yard Gutenhof and was gradually trained into a dressage competition rider.

Austrian Junior Team Rider

Her biggest career successes were aboard Barbara Boeker's 1992 born Belissimo (by Bafour xx). She first represented Austria at the 2000 European Junior Riders Championships in Lipica, where she won team bronze alongside Victoria Max-Theurer (Falcao), Caroline Kottas-Heldenberg (Carreras) and Katrin Atschko (Rubidour). She finished 12th individually.

A year later, Wolf returned on the team for the 2021 European Junior Riders Championships in Iserlohn, where there was another team bronze medal, this time alongside Victoria Max-Theurer (Falcao), Madlen Suppan (Polybios) and Markus Jungwirth (Smart Cookie). Individually Wolf placed 21st individually.

Horses and Law

Vivien continued her international competition career through the 2010s and was still actively showing at national level until last year. She rode, for instance, Damiani at the 2008 CDI Mariakalnok.

Wolf went to study Law at the University of Vienna and graduated as a Doctor in Law in 2012. She passed the bar exam in 2018 and opened her own office in Wiener-Neustad in 2019.

She stayed at Gutenhof for 30 years and then boarded horses with Luise Wessely-Trupp in Wiener Neustad. Her last competition horses were Sorento's Solitaire (by Sorento), which moved into the hands of junior rider Hella Buhan, and the 7-year old DSP bred Bale (by Boss Hoss x In Flagranti). Her last show start was on Bale at A-Level at the CDN Himberg at Gutenhof on 12 - 14 September 2025.

Wolf bravely fought cancer for years, but lost the battle on 30 December 2025.
