The NRPS stallion licensing will take place in a new format on 25 - 28 February 2026.
The licensing is held at the Flevodrome equestrian centre in Dronten and the "Stallion Gala in March" has been discontinued.
The event will be split into three days of dressage and show jumping stallions, followed by all pony stallions on the fourth day.
On Wednesday 25 February, the dressage and show jumping horses will be assessed on hard surface and undergo veterinary inspection. The following day, the dressage stallions are shown in freedom. On Friday a second viewing of the selected stallions will take place, again in freedom. The committee will then announce which stallions have been approved, followed by the championship ring.
Stallions that are accepted at this stage are therefore assured of their breeding licence one month earlier than before, provided that they also meet all the usual veterinary requirements.
Saturday 28 February will be entirely devoted to pony stallions.
As there is no longer a separate Stallion Gala, the presentation of the previously approved stallions will be incorporated into the new programme,
