Chinski, Sudipti Hajela's 2023 Asian Games team gold medal winning horse, has passed away on 25 September 2025. He was 18 years old.
Chinski was a Dutch warmblood gelding by Tuschinski out of elite prestatie mare Vanity (by Jazz x Chronos). He was bred at Stable Gijsbers.
Aimee van Neer
The bay gelding started his sport career in The Netherlands. He became Aimee van Neer's transition horse from ponies to horses in 2013. She discovered him in Remy Bastings' barn.
The pair competed from L2 level to Grand Prix under the supervision of Saskia van Es. The pair made its Grand Prix debut in October 2021.
Sudipti Hajela
Shortly after that Grand Prix debut, Van Neer sold Chinski to Indian Sudipti Hajela.
The new duo made its international show debut at the CDI Le Mans in February 2022 at small tour level and gained mileage at CDI's in Jerez, Deauville, Crozet, Ludwigsburg, Le Mans, and Kronenberg.
2023 became their highlight year. After a very busy season with starts in Le Mans, Lier, Aachen, Le Mans again, Redefin, Hagen, and Kronberg they were selected on the Indian team for the 2023 Asian Games in Hangzhou, China. The pair contributed to the historic team gold medal for India with a 66.706% score in the Prix St Georges. They were rung out in the Intermediaire I test.

Retirement
After the CDI Lier, Chinski was retired from sport at age 17. He spent his retirement in France with Mandy Nicolas.
Chinski unfortunately passed away yesterday evening 25 September 2025 from a suspected heart attack.
"Every single cell in my body is hurting to say that chinski is no more," Sudipti stated. "My pride, my joy, and my greatest gift. You put me on the world stage, gave me gold for India, and shaped me into who I am today. No words can ever capture what you meant to me. Thank you for giving me my world and the most special moments of my life and I couldn’t be happier to have had you by my side all along."
