The 2025 CDIO Aachen at the start of July is considered for many nations the final team selection trial for the 2025 European Championships in Crozet.
Denmark has been strikingly absent from all major FEI Nations Cup competitions this year but is sending its A-squad riders to Aachen to prove their mettle for the team.
The Danish Nations Cup team includes:
- Cathrine Dufour - Mount St. John Freestyle
- Andreas Helgstrand - Jovian
- Nadja Aaboe Sloth - Favour Gersdorf
- Anna Toosbuy Rasch - Everian L
In the 4 CDI tour Carina Cassoe Kruth (Heiline's Danciera) and Rikke Dupont (Grand Galiano) get their chance to overscore the CDIO riders.
However in Aachen the other team candidates have a chance to edge out the Rotterdam riders by outscoring them.
The Dutch team for the CDIO Aachen includes:
- Marieke van der Putten - Zantana OLD
- Dinja van Liere - Hartsuijker
- Lynne Maas - Electra
- Jonna Schelstraete - Ironman
Dinja van Liere will make a big come back after missing out on most of the 2025 show season. She has been selected on Hartsuijker, whose last CDI was in Doha in February 2025. Van Liere's Olympic fourth placed Hermes (by Easy Game x Flemmingh) hasn't made his come back since he failed the vet inspection in Den Bosch in March. Also Imposantos has not returned to the arena since Den Bosch. Dinja did not compete with any of her three GP horses at the first team selection trial in Exloo. She will have to prove her worth in Aachen if she wants a spot on the team.
