Chin Jazz (by Caracciola x Jazz) became the champion of the 2023 Austrian Warmblood Stallion Licensing in Stadl Paura, Austria, on 3 - 5 February 2023.

A collection of 37 dressage and show jumping bred stallions was presented and assessed by Peter Zechner, Claudia Wuggenig, Christian Aschauer and Heinz Jörg-Wächter.

Fourteen dressage bred colts were shown and six were licensed. Five of them are Austrian warmblood bred.

The bay Chin Jazz was named champion. He is bred and owned by Wolfgang Himsl. He is by the recently deceased Grand Prix stallion Caracciola MT and out of Jazzdance (by Jazz x Don Vino x Veritas AA). The licensing committee praised the colt for his outstanding conformation, noble expression and ground covering, cadenced gaits.

The Trakehner bred Copperfield (by Ivanhoe x Rheinklang) was named reserve champion. He is bred by Günter Heitfeld and owned by Andreas Weiß.

The four further licensed stallions were El Camino FH (by Escamillo x Foundation) bred and owned by the Holzleitner family; Black Bond ANW (by Bond Street x Sir Donnerhall) bred and owned by Nina Wagner; Broadmoars Dandelion (by Desperados x Bailamos Biolley) bred and owned by Broadmoar; and Fizzers Fritz (by Finest x Calido), bred by Pichler and owned by Natascha Hudl.
