Austrian Warmblood

The bay Faberge EP was named the champion of the 2018 Austrian Warmblood Stallion Licensing, held in Stadl Paura, Austria on 10 - 11 February 2018.

Out of over 30 presented stallions, fourteen of them were approved for breeding for the Austrian Warmblood Society. Stallions of various ages were presented.

For 2018 the Austrian warmblood society had set up a new licensing system which attracted new and young breeders to the licensing. The licensing committee included Georg Brötzner, Leopold Erasimus, Walter Werni, Claudia Wuggenig and Peter Zechner.

Faberge EP Steals the Show

Bred and owned by Giulia Schwab, Faberge EP is by For Romance out of Timba (by Literat). According to the licensing committee he excelled as champion in his type, conformation and movement. Especially the trot stood out.

Praised for their quality were dressage colts Van Austria (by Van Vivaldi x Florencio), bred by Franz Hummer-Niedermayr and owned by Thomas Blumschein, and the Trakehner Schralling (by Banderas x Connery), owned by Hans Ernst Wezel.

Austrian Grand Prix rider saw two of her German bred stallions approved: Vom Feinsten (by Van Vivaldi x Roy Black) and Sonnenglanz (by Sandro Hit x De Niro).

Also approved were Francois (by Franziskus x Furst Final) and pony stallion Little Higgins BBA (by Higgins x Furry As), amongst a few more..

Benlord MRE, Young Colt Champion

In the young colt division, three colts were approved: Martin Resch's Benlord MRE (by Benicio x Lord Löwenherz) was named the young colt champion. Gestut Moosbachhof's Perino MBH (by Peron M x Fit for Fun) and Julia Rauschan's Belle Coeur FH (by Buenos Dias x Compliment) were also approved
