Margit Eisner, a long-time sponsor of Helen Langehanenberg, has bought full ownership of the Trakehner licensed stallion Kwahu. Helen will retain the ride.

Kwahu is a 2016 born stallion by Millennium out of Kalinowska (by Munchhausen x Sixtus). He is bred by Ines Eisold.

Licensed Stallion

Kwahu first hit the spotlight when he sold as a foal at auction at the 2016 Trakehner Stallion Licensing for 80,000 euro. He was named Konstantin at the time and was an orphan foal. He sold to Polish born German dressage rider Anna Nolte of Hofgut Rosenau in Dreieich.

The colt got a new name and presented as Kwahu at the 2018 Trakehner Stallion Licensing, but dropped out after the phase on hard surface due to a hoof abscess. At that time he was listed as owned by Gestut Sprehe. They re-presented him at the Trakehner Late licensing in January 2019 and was named premium.

He did his 14-day stallion suitability test in Schlieckau in May 2019 and scored 7.7 for dressage and 7.55 for show jumping. At his sport test in Munster-Handorf in January 2021 he scored 7.57 points. He has not yet been competed in sport.

Half Ownership

Kwahu sold again and became listed as half owned by Wolfgang Diehm and half by Margit Eisner. In 2020 Laura Strobel was riding the stallion.

In October 2021 the stallion moved in training with Helen Langehanenberg. She first presented him to the public at the gala evening of the 2021 Trakehner Licensing.

In January 2022 the pair made its show debut in Ankum and Helen rode him in a few shows at M-level the 2022 show season. They also tried to get selected for the German team for the 2022 World Young Horse Championships but were not picked by the selectors.

Last year Kwahu twice sired the Trakehner foal auction price highlight: Save the Date and Kinshasa.

Full Ownership

On 4 January 2023, Wolfgang Diehm of Gestüt Hörstein announced on Facebook that Eisner has acquired full ownership of the rising 7-year old stallion.

"It's been close to our heart to continue the development of this outstanding horse for sport and Trakehner breeding," said Eisner.

Kwahu will be available to breeders via the Warendorf state stud.
