The 3-year old Grace Kelly was named "Mare of the Year" and winner of the 2022 Trakehner Elite Mare show which is held during the annual Trakehner stallion licensing in Neumunster, Germany on 1 - 3 December 2022.

Bred by the Ebert family and Hella Kuntz and owned by Ebert, the bay mare by Schwarzgold out of state premium mare Gandera (by Banderas) bested the field and received the champion sash after already gaining top honour as the Rhinelander regional Trakehner champion. At the auction following the show and licensing, she also fetched the top auction price of 157,000 euro

Remarkably two mares were named reserve champion. The first one was Luxusliebe II (by Freiherr von Stein x Singolo), bred and owned by Andreas Wezel. She was already the Bavarian Regional Trakehner champion earlier in the year.

The second reserve champion was Hot Brown (by Kentucky x Millennium), bred and owned by Gut Staffelde. She topped the Schleswig-Holstein regional Trakehner championships in the summer.

Three further mares competed for the title but remain unranked: Santa Indira (by Ivanhoe x Kasimir), bred and owned by Peter Richterich; Sakura (by Easy Game x Cadeau), bred by Norbert Timm and owned by Gestut SN Grafing; and Lily Selsö (by Ivanhoe x Sixtus), bred and owned by Stutteri Selsö in Denmark.

At the auction, the other mares sold for much lower prices with Safira (by Schwarzgold x Herzensdieb) selling for 35,000 euro as the second most expensive mare. Halna (by Vikis x Oregon) sold for 33,000 euro while In Sinfonie (by Ivanhoe x Heuberger) moves to the U.S.A. for 32,000 euro.
