French Team Pony Dazzling Kid d'Herbord Finds New Rider

French FEI team pony Dazzling Kid d'Herbord has found a new rider for the next show season. Blanche Carre Pistollet has passed on the ride to young Frenchman Thimothé Viaud.

Dazzling Kid d'Herbord is a 9-year old AES registered pony by Oscar la Chevalrie out of Ma Rousse d'Herbord (by Flatteur).

Mader - Carre Pistollet

The chestnut pony first caught the attention in France in 2019 when he was ridden to the 6-year old French Young Pony Champion's title by Margaux Mader.

Owned by Delphine Colmant, Dazzling Kid was allocated to Blanche Carre Pistollet in 2020 and they had their international debut straight away at the 2020 European Pony Championships in Pilisjaszfalu, where they were 44th in the individual test with 65.054%.

In 2021 they competed at the CDI's in Le Mans and Compiegne before heading to the 2021 European Pony Championships in Strzegom, where they placed 18th in the Kur to Music finals. They also became the 2021 French Pony Champions.

They went full throttle in 2020 with starts in Le Mans, Opglabbeek, Compiegne, and Hagen, but the pony sustained a minor injury at the wrong time and missed out on the French as well as European Pony Championships because of it.

Viaud

As Blanche has reached the age limit she will be moving onto horses. According to Dressprod, she found a partner in 10-year old Selle Français gelding Chopin des Baisses (by San Amour x For Pleasure x Goldspring de Lauzelle).

Thimothé Viaud has taken over the ride on Dazzling Kid. Viaud has been gaining experience competing the 8-year old buckskin pony Expresso Briard (by Quisko Le Briar x Le Gazouilleur), as well as Mistral du Chiron, and Diddl. He trains with Guillaume Recoing.
