The Swiss Equestrian federation has announced the appointment of Ruth Haas as the senior dressage team Chef d'equipe.

The dressage committee of the Swiss NF selected the Berne based Haas as the successor for Evelyne Niklaus, who was carrying out the position at interim after Geneviève Pfister had resigned.

The 55-year old Haas has a flight attendant by profession but also a familiar face at the federation. She has worked under director René Pezold. Although she has a background in show jumping, Haas is familiar with the elite level sport requirements and has also supported her children that play competitive handball.

This spring and summer she will assist Niklaus at the training seminars and competitions. After the 2021 European Championships in Hagen on 7 - 12 September 2021 she will officially move into the role as chef d'equipe
