German junior rider Moritz Treffinger has sold his internationally competed JR horse Standing Ovation to Japan.

Standing Ovation is a 10-year old Oldenburg gelding by Surprice out of Distelperle (by Vespucci x Arogno). He is bred by Carmen Freiesleben.

Treffinger Family

He was first competed in Germany as a 3-year old by Katharina Mayer after which Moritz' mother Santina took over the ride in the summer of 2014.

Santina competed the gorgeous bay gelding through 2016. In 2018 it was Moritz' turn. Then a pony rider, Moritz combined his final year on ponies with getting experience on horses at L- and M-level nationally.

In 2019 Moritz moved to junior level and permanently on horses. With Standing Ovation he made his international junior show debut at the CDI Leudelange, where he scored 71.303% to place third in the team test. They also competed at the 2019 Aachen Indoor and 2020 CDI Hagen in July, posting twice scores over 70%.

In the autumn of 2020 the pair did their first national Prix St Georges level tests.

Sold to Japan

As Moritz began to focus on his new ride Superstition (by Surprice x Hotline) in 2021, Standing Ovation was offered for sale on Eurodressage

Standing Ovation has now been sold to Taizo Shiohara, CEO of Juno Corporation, in Tokyo. The horse will be stabled at Evergreen Stables.
