The Austrian Equestrian Federation (OEPS) has announced the Olympic Grand Prix squad for 2021 from which an Olympic team will be picked in case the Tokyo Games will take place.
OEPS posted two groups/squads of riders for Grand prix level. The Olympic squad contains all riders who have scored over 70% in the Grand Prix or Special at a CDI 3, 4, or 5*.
"For these riders the regulations of the A-squad apply during Olympic qualification. The Olympic squad will only built in the time from of 20 January 2021 - 1 August 2021 and loses its validity," OEPS stated.
The squads only include the names of the riders, no horse names. Eurodressage added them for information sake.
Olympic squad listed riders are:
- Florian Bacher - Fidertraum
- Victoria Max-Theurer - Abegglen / Rockabily
- Astrid Neumayer - Zap Zap
- Christian Schumach - Donna Karacha
- Ulrike Prunthaller - Quebec
- Stefan Lehfellner - Fackeltanz OLD
- Belinda Weinbauer - Fraulein Auguste / Fustanella
The "Olympic Perspective" (B)-squad includes riders who have achieved the FEI MER score of two times 66%.
