British international Grand Prix rider Louise Bell has premiered her new rising star in the barn, Zinkwazi.
Zinkwazi is a 5-year old British Hanoverian bred gelding by Blue Hors Zack x Woodlander Wesuvio x Furst Heinrich.
British Bred
Named after a South African beach town, Zinkwazi is owned and bred by Alison Walton.
He is out of broodmare Woodlander Walk On The Wild Side (by Woodlander Wesuvio), an embryotransfer from Walton's World Young Horse Champion mare Woodlander Farouche (by Furst Heinrich x Dimaggio).
As a foal Zinkwazi obtained a premium at the 2015 British Breeding/British Equestrian Federation (BEF) Futurity series.
The ride on Zinkwazi was allocated to Bell when he was 3.
"From the Gods"
"I’ve had him for 18 months, but it has taken me till 3 months ago to get him to be what I call rideable," Bell told Eurodressage, "but he is something from the gods now."
"He is now the most amazing horse to ride and train," said Louise. "He may take a while to come but I have never sat on a horse like this one. He is massively tall so I’m not rushing!! Want this one to go all the way."
From Showing to Dressage
Bell began her equestrian career in showing, but switched to dressage in 2011 after taking on a discipline switching challenge. She made her international show debut in 2014 on W Get Smart at small tour level and in 2017 at Grand Prix level aboard Into the Blue. She represented Great Britain in the CDIO Nations Cup in Hickstead, Uggerhalne, Geesteren and Aachen. She was initially trained by Michael Eilberg but now gets trained by Hester.
