2020 PSI Auction
Grinello (by Grey Flanell x Furstenball x De Niro)

The 4-year-old Oldenburg gelding Grinello (by Grey Flanell x Fürstenball) is the catalog number 1 and collection opener of the 2020 PSI Auction, which will take place in Ankum, Germany, on 19 December 2020.

While the Corona-pandemic has wreaked havoc with global economies, international travel and the world’s sporting calendar, the P.S.I. experience is guaranteed to deliver on its promise again by hosting the 2020 PSI Auction in a corona proof environment.

A collection of 22 young dressage stars have been cherry-picked for the auction.

Grinello, Catalog number 1

Grinello is a 4-year old Oldenburg gelding by Grey Flanell x Fürstenball x De Niro.

Trained by German A-squad rider Frederic Wandres, Grinello is one of Freddie's favorites to develop. Wandres has previously ridden and campaigned Grinello’s sire, the Gribaldi son Grey Flanell, with the pair winning the prestigious Dutch Pavo Cup among others. Grey Flanell has recently made his debut at Grand Prix level under the Bonhomme stud rider Lena Waldmann.

On Grinello's dam side we find Fürstenball, who is known for passing on enormous rideability and therefore cannot be missing from any auction collection. The pedigree continues with the sire of the century, De Niro — a proven producer of Grand Prix horses, just like Gribaldi.

"We are confident that Grinello will be able to write his own successful chapter in competition history," says Francois Kasselmann. "Trusting Olympic squad member Freddy to continue Grinello’s education and training would be a decision and investment into the future that would not only provide you with great joy and satisfaction."
