The Dutch Equestrian Federation has confirmed the selection process for the 2020 European Youth Championships in Pilisjászfalu, Hungary, on 9 - 30 August 2020.

Dutch junior/young rider and Under 25 team trainer Monique Peutz already confirmed to Eurodressage last week that Dutch team selection will be based on two observation trials open to all riders interested competing at this level.

The Dutch NF has now confirmed the dates and locations for those observation trials.

  • Saturday 27 June - Exloo – Children, Juniors, Young Riders, U25
  • Friday 10 July - Schijndel – U25
  • Saturday 11 July - Schijndel – Ponies, Children, Juniors, Young Riders
  • Saturday 25 July - Geesteren – Ponies

Riders who want to be considered for the team are obliged to ride in both observation trials. Under 25 riders will have to ride the Intermediaire II test at the second trial.

From a veterinary viewpoint, the Dutch team vets recommend the horses to be vaccinated for West Nile Virus (WNV) and Equine Herpes Virus (EHV).
