Gerstorf Sørensen Sisters Turn Parents' Yard into Christiansminde Riding Center

Danish young riders Alexandra and Anne Sophie Gerstorf Sørensen have officially taken over the yard of their parents, Skanderborg Equestrian Center, and turned it into Christiansminde Riding Centre.

Alexandra (24) and Anne Sophie (20) are the daughters of Danish dressage rider Ulrik Gerstorf and his wife Charlotte Sørensen. Ulrik used to be the Danish national junior-young riders' team trainer until he was hired as the sport director at Blue Hors stud in 2017.

Alexandra began her international show career as a pony rider in 2012 with Kloosters Eltino and Mister Dornik. In 2013 she moved to junior level on Camiro Mandoe and represented Denmark at the 2013 European Junior Championships in Vidauban, where she was 13th in the Kur. At the 2014 Europeans she was 5th in the freestyle. In 2015 she moved to Young Riders level. Her last international start was the 2016 CDIO-YR Hagen.

Anne Sophie began her international pony team in 2013. She rode ponies for three years until 2016 with Kloosters Eltino, Jumanji and Lynet. She gained her first international junior experience on Rikke Bøllingtoft's Finale in 2014 and on Cartier in 2015. Anne Sophie did not compete internationally in 2017, but returned to CDI stage as a junior in 2018 with Camiro Mandoe.

The sister duo recently spent some time working for Lars Petersen in Florida, U.S.A. and returned to Denmark right before the corona crisis.

They have now fully committed to a career in horses and taken over their parents' stable, which Ulrik and Charlotte bought in 2004, and renamed it Christiansminde Riding Center, where they will focus on the training of young children and riders.
