The 8-year old KWPN licensed stallion Hometown has been sold to a Dutch-Swedish investors' duo and has moved to Sweden.

Hometown is by Apache out of Torose V (by Ferro x Dageraad) and is bred by Mr. Bouwmeester.

The black was discovered and bought as a foal by Frans Burgers. He was originally named Hornrose, but that name changed to Hometown after he got licensed.

KWPN Licensed

Hometown became the reserve champion of the 2015 KWPN Stallion Licensing and was later on also Oldenburg approved.

He did his KWPN stallion performance test in the autumn of 2015 and scored 78.5 points, which ranked him seventh out of seven stallions that passed the testing.

The stallion was first trained by Joyce Lenaerts, before moving to Diederik van Silfhout's yard.  Diederik and Hometown competed on the KWPN Stallion Competition circuit, finishing 4th in 2017 and 7th in 2018 in the Finals in Den Bosch. Most recently Febe van Zwambagt was competing the black stallion at national level in Holland.

Move to Sweden

Hometown has now been sold to a Dutch-Swedish investors' duo: Dutch horse dealer Egbert Schep and Swedish horse dealer Johan Ifverson.

The stallion was relocated to Lovsta Stutteri for some stud duties in Sweden, but he will not be trained for sport by the Lovsta team (led by Tinne Vilhelmson).
