Deutsche Bank Equestrian Sport Academy Announces 2019 Grant Recipients

The Deutsche Bank Equestrian Sport Academy has four new members for 2019: Anna Abbelen, Jil-Mariele Becks, Kathleen Keller and Anna-Magdalena Schessl. 

At the 2018 CDI Frankfurt, the Deutsche Bank announced the nine recipients for the 2019 training and education grant.

The Deutsche Bank Equestrian Sport Academy was founded in 2015 and began in 2016 with 10 training grant recipients in its first year, 14 in 2017, and 9 in 2018.

The grant recipients receive training from German team trainer Monica Theodorescu, wild cards to international shows and mentoring through the Deutsche Bank to help build and develop their professional riding career.

The 2019 grant recipients are:

  • Lisa-Maria Klössinger
  • Bianca Nowag
  • Ninja Rathjens
  • Anna-Magdalena Scheßl
  • Franziska Stieglmaier

Grand Prix riders Florine Kienbaum, Victoria Michalke, Juliette Piotrowski and Charlott-Maria Schürmann have left the project and will become alumni in 2019.
