British triple European Championship team pony Madam's Miss Maria has been sold to Germany to become the ride of 14-year old rising FEI Dressage pony Johanna Kullmann.

Madam's Miss Maria is a 12-year old Dutch Welsh pony mare by Woldhoeve's Silco out of Madam's Mirella (by Wester Aikema's Adios). She has been owned by British Becky Moody since 2012.

Moody purchased the pony as a 2-year old in Holland and had her backed at her yard by Laura Jarvis and Emma Gallagher. The mare was bred to Caesar in 2010 and had the filly foal Starledna in 2011.

The bay pony mare made her international FEI pony level debut in Addington in April 2014 . Under Hariette Williams, the mare competed successfully at CDI-P's that year and placed 23rd at the 2012 European Pony Championshis in Fontainebleau, France.

From 2013 till 2015 Madam's Miss Maria did not compete abroad. She contested some national shows in 2014 with Ottilie Bardsley.

In 2016 the mare returned to the international spotlight under Sophie Taylor in April 2016 at CDI Keysoe. The new duo represented Great Britain at the 2016 Europen Championships in Vilhelmsborg, where they finished 22nd in the individual test, and at the 2017 European Championships in Kaposvar, where they made it to the Kur to Music Finals to finish 11th.

German Johanna Kullmann won the 2017 German Developing FEI Pony Rider Championships and finished second at the 2017 CDI Aachen Indoor competition aboard the former European Pony Champion Champ of Class. She has now added Madam's Miss Maria to her string of ponies.

"I am very happy to having the chance to work Madam’s Miss Maria, an exceptional pony, and I am extremely looking forward to creating a mutual future," said Johanna.

Moody was partly sad but also partly proud about "Dot" selling to Germany. "In some ways I am sad the pony hasn’t remained in the UK, but I’m just delighted she has gone to such a lovely family, and Johanna is a very talented young lady with a fantastic support team around her so I’m sure they will have great success," Moody told Eurodressage. "And to have a pony go to Germany is actually a great honour."
