Following a request from the International Dressage Riders' Club, the Equipment Working Group and FEI Technical Dressage Committee have agreed to approve the use of a lozenge and a more specific Baucher bit.

In detail the approval concerns:

  • Double Jointed Hanging Cheek – approved
  • All Single Jointed bits to be allowed with Double Joint Lozenge – approved

The approvals of equipment is effective immediately.

"The 'Summary of new Tack/Equipment approved for FEI Dressage Events' list will be updated to include these changes," said IDRC secretary general Wayne Channon. "Please note that this list is in addition to the current FEI Dressage Rules, and amendments to the list can occur following rule changes."
