The Dressage Performance Centre in Lodbergen (DLZ) is ready for the 2017 breeding season! Young colts Finest Selection (by Follow Me OLD) and Quel Plaisir (by Quantensprung) both fulfiled the expectations at the licensing in Vechta and Munster-Handorf, where they shone, and the Bundeschampionate fourth placed Best For Me OLD (by Bretton Woods) completed the Stallion Performance Testing in Schlieckau with outstanding scores.
Lodbergen managing director Urs Schweizer is very optimistic for next year and hopes that outstanding results achieved by his station's stallions in 2016 will be topped next year.
"Finest Selection, Quel Plaisir and Best For Me OLD will strengthen our stallion collection with great meaning. We are incredibly proud that all three of them come from our own breeding programme and we discovered them as foals at their breeders," said Schweizer.
The next public presentation of the three newest additions to the Lodbergen stallion roster, as well as their stable mates Follow Me OLD, For Romance I OLD, First Ampere, Frascino, Herakles, Rock For Me, Royal Doruto OLD and Rubin Royal OLD, will be on Sunday 11 December 2016 at the Lodbergen Winter Breeders' Meeting. As of 11h00 breeders and horse lovers are welcomed at the stallion station to witness the quality of the DLZ-stallions.
The gorgeous Finest Selection descends from the first crop of Oldenburg licensing champion, main premium winner and Oldenburg regional champion Follow Me OLD. He has a good dose of nobility through dam sire Lauries Crusador xx. Numerous top breeding and sport horses come from this Hanoverian dam line.
With his coveted chocolate coloured coat, the typey Quel Plaisir is sired by Quantensprung, the World Young Horse Championship bronze medal winner who has clearly dominated the licensings this year with his first crop. Quel Plaisir has the best Trakehner blood in further generations in his pedigree, guaranteeing the right dose of performance ability.
The already 4-year old liver chestnut Best For Me OLD is sired by Bretton Woods, who has been successfully competed up to Intermediaire I level under Matthias Alexander Rath. This young colt descends from the famous Oldenburg dam line of Edosta.
At the 2016 DLZ Winter Breeders' Meeting a two-hour presentation of the stallions will take place, after which the members of the DLZ team as well as Urs Schweizer will be available for questions and consults.
