The 7-year old KWPN licensed stallion El Capone has been sold to Andreas Helgstrand in Denmark. The black stallion was successfully competed as a youngster by Marieke van der Putten.
El Capone is bred by stud farm De Dalhoeve and was owned by Jeanette Gerritsen. He is by UB 40 out of elite preferent mare Vamora (by OO Seven).
"Helgstrand was always crazy about him. We had been in touch regularly and he often asked about El Capone," Gerritsen explained. "For us this was the moment to sell 'when hope and expectations are good'. And that's what they are as he was doing super with Marieke van der Putten, who started him successfully in the small tour."
El Capone was approved as a licensed stallion in 2012 and he was twice reserve Pavo Cup Champion. He won the L and M-level KWPN Stallion Competition, but did not contest the Z-level championship in 2015-2016. He also competed at the 2015 World Young Horse Championships and finished 18th in the consolation finals.
