German Under 25 Grand Prix rider Tamara Rehnig has acquired the 11-year old Holsteiner licensed stallion De Chirico who has been internationally competed at small tour level.

De Chirico is by Dolany out of Mira G (by Linaro x Reichsgraf x Rasputin) and is bred by Gunther Fielmann.

He was licensed  at the 2006 Holsteiner Stallion Licensing in Neumunster, Germany, and did his 30-day stallion performance testing in February 2007 in Schlieckau. He scored 8.39 for dressage and 7.71 for show jumping. In September 2007 he did his 70-day testing in Schlieckau and scored 133.91 for dressage (2nd place) and 121.77 for show jumping (5th) to win the testing with 134.73 points.

He was first competed as a young 3-year old by Markus Schuchalla in 2007, but a year later Anika von Holdt took over the ride briefly before handing it over to Sonja Grunden. In 2009 Wolfgang Schade took over and rode the horse at L and M-level, then in 2010 the horse went back to Markus Schuchalla who tried to qualify for the Bundeschampionate. The horse did his last show in Germany in July 2010 at M-level.

De Chirico returned to the show ring in 2013 under Russian Marina Aframeeva. She competed him at small tour level at the CDI Zhaskiv and CDI Minsk. That year he was recorded as owned by Russian Vadim Kluchikov and a bit later by Russian Oleg Efremov. In 2014 he was owned by Mrs. M. Al Khalifa from Bahrain and Danish Anne van Olst competed him once at the 2014 CDI Fritzens at small tour level.

De Chirico has now been sold to the Frankfurt based Rehnig family. Their 23-year old daughter Tamara has been actively competing Liostro at Under 25 level in Germany. In 2013 she showed Valentinho (by ) at young riders level at the CDIO-YR in Saumur and Moorsele.

"I have him since January so now we need to get to know each other better," said Rehnig, who is trained by Cornelia Guhl. "Our plans so far are to compete with Liostro in the Piaff Förderpreis and with Chirico we will see how it goes and ride a few small national shows to get to know him in the arena."
