The Italian equestrian federation and chef d'equipe Laura Conz have announced the teams that will represent Italy on home turf at the 2014 European Junior and Young Riders Championships in Arezzo, Italy, on 11 - 15 July 2014. Italy hasn't had a young riders' team since the Europeans in 2009.
The Italian junior riders team includes:
- Lucia Berni - Ebony
- Alice Campanella - Varisto
- Camilla Mauro - Santo Stefano Francis
- Xenia Herta Schumann - Samba Khan
Herta Schumann was originally selected with Remidemi, but the horse had to undergo eye surgery on Monday 23 June 2014 and is not fit to compete. Xenia will be riding her second horse Samba Khan.
The Italian Young Riders team includes:
- Simone Citelli - Touch of Brown
- Valentina Croce - Nirvana XV
- Francesca Ecchia - Dumbledore
- Vittoria Zaniboni - Saffierduna
