Elizabeth Lundholm, former Swedish dressage chef d'equipe and current FEI Dressage committee board member, is this year's recipient of the Sven Tolling Memorial Fund stipend. Lundholm will be honoured at the 2012 CDI-W Gothenburg.

Swedish equestrian magazine Ridsport reported that Lundholm is this year's recipient of a 25,000 SEK stipend.

She has been chosen because Elizabeth is "a person with solid leadership skills, who has been involved in equestion sport for many years and who has a dedicated focus for the training of young horses. She protects the basics of equestrianism and clearly stressed the importane of quality as well as scientifically based knowledge."

Sven Tolling was chairman of the Swedish Equestrian Federation from 2001 to 2007. The Sven Tollings Memorial Fund was established by his family after his death in December 2007.

Elizabeth Lundholm is chair of the coaching council of the Swedish Equestrian Federation and dressage team trainer of the Swedish eventing team.

She is also a member of the FEI Dressage Committee, which more than half a year ago made the very controversial decision to propose a rule which allows blood on horses in competition. This rule was swept off the table after a massive outcry from the global dressage community.
