Ankum Dressage Club's reasons to invite you to their tournaments in the Auction Centre in Ankum, Lower Saxony, always come in threes: piaffes, passages and pirouettes – young talent, elegant dancers, impressive legends – the ADC Tournaments are a platform
for the whole spectrum of Dressage sport.
From 28th to 30th October, the second ADC weekend will be placing an emphasis on youth development, with a whole host of Dressage horse events. A total of four Dressage horse events for the L and M classes for five and six year-old horses will be on the programme from 28th to 30th October. Also on offer are three special events for amateurs -a Prix St. George, an S-class Dressage and an M**-class Dressage trial. Completing the ADC Dressage Tournament programme will be classics like the Grand Prix de Dressage, the short Grand Prix, the Intermediaire II and the Youth Grand Prix for eight to ten-year old horses.
This particular combination has gone down well and evidently filled a hole in the sporting opportunities available to Dressage riders – both for professionals and ambitious amateurs. There are a total of four official Ankum Dressage tournaments in Autumn/Winter 2011 in the Auction Centre. After the opening and second weekends of Dressage sport, a further two tournaments will follow from 4th to 6th November and 18th to 20th November.
This round of official Ankum Dressage Tournaments kicked off from 14th to 16th October in the Auction Centre of the Ankum 'Sport- und Seehotel', immediately attracting a large number of both national and international participants, amongst others European Championship team runner up Christoph Koschel. He took part with young horse Lawarion and promptly proceeded to win the short Grand Prix. Erstwhile German Professional Rider Champion Bianca Kasselmann shone with 'Weltclassiker' in the Grand Prix de Dressage and professional rider Andrea Timple celebrated a particularly outstanding weekend with three victiories.
