Uwe Schulten Baumer's European team silver medal winning Grand Prix horse Donatha S (by Donnerhall x Pik Bube I) has been retired from an active competition career and is looking forward to a new career as broodmare.

The Hanoverian mare has been bred to KWPN keur stallion Jazz.

"Donatha still has lots of fun with her daily work-out but she won't be competed anymore," Donatha's rider Ellen Schulten-Baumer explained. "In our 13-year together we experienced many adventures. The mare has always gone above all expectations and took me to the place where I am now. It gives me much pleasure to see her daily, fresh and happy in the stable. A foal will be the icing on the cake."

Uwe Schulten-Baumer discovered Donatha S at the Hanoverian Elite Auction in 1998. Under stepdaughter Ellen the liver chestnut mare competed at the 1999 World Young Horse Championships in Arnheim, The Netherlands. As a Grand Prix horse, Donatha was a long-time member of the German A-team. She competed at the 2006 World Cup Finals in Amsterdam, won team silver at the 2007 European Dressage Championships in Turin, qualified for the 2008 Olympic Games German team but got injured. In 2009 the pair earned team bronze at the European Championships in Windsor.
