"I am so happy! I just had to have Danseur Royale because I was fascinated by his fantastic rideability and movement capacity," said Hans Voser. The Swiss dressage trainer won the bidding duel from an interested American customer for the knock down price of 87,000 euro.

Danseur Royale is from the first crop of the Oldenburg Champion Stallion, Don Kennedy, and was bred by Klaus Wulferding, Wildeshausen.

36 riding horses were auctioned for a total of 630,000 euro (average price 17,500 €). Almost half of the horses were sold abroad. The six broodmares were knocked-down for a total of 101,000 € and four of them were sold to customers from abroad (average price 16,833 €). The 18 Elite foals cost 13,589 € on average and four of these youngsters were picked up by buyers from abroad.

Rivalin (by Rosario x Sion, breeder: Wolfgang Mangels, Hechthausen) was purchased by Hermann Lenders for 40,000 Euros and will stay in Germany. Two dressage stables in Hamburg purchased Raffles (by Rubin-Royal x Karon/Trakehner) and Son of Thunder (by Smetana x De Niro) for 33,000 and 35,000 €.

Many new customers purchased Oldenburg horses in Vechta. Two horses were sold to India, including Die Dolly (by Don Schufro x Wanderer, breeder: Andrea Weitz, Lenwerder), a full sister of Der Euro, a price record selling dressage horse which became a Bundeschampion. Through two Oldenburg co-operation partners, Konstanze Brunecker and Jasmin Scomaprin from Mexiko and Italy found their way to Vechta for the first time.

The number one broodmare on the hit list, Donnabelle (by Donnerhall x Plaisir d’Amoura) and her Fidertanz foal by foot were sold for 37,000 € to the American Judy Yancey.

Ann Kathrin Linsenhoff is the new owner of the first embryo transfer foal to be sold at an auction in Vechta. Fürst Oldenburg is a son of the Oldenburg Champion Mare and two-time Bundeschampion, Silberaster, and the main premium winner, Fidertanz, and was bred by Ludger Bührmann in Bühren.

The most expensive Elite foal, which sold for 55,000 €, was also an embryo transfer foal – the full sister of the Olympic jumper, Arko III, called Arko’s Sister, bred by Peter M. Schütt, Enge-Sande. New customers from Portugal purchased Zick Zack (by Zack x Dormello) for 42,000 €.

The auctioneer, Uwe Heckmann, welcomed buyers from more than 24 nations – from Australia to two new countries, Moldavia and Chile - as guests in the Oldenburg Horse Center Vechta.

"The sensational quality of Oldenburg horses draws more and more customers to Vechta“, said the auctioneer, Uwe Heckmann, obviously delighted with the good price level at the end of the auction. The Verbands President, Wilhelm Weerda, agreed: "Especially the foal collection here can only be described with superlatives and is just a taste of what will be found on August 29th at our Elite Foal Auction."
