Isabell Werth was able to triumph again in the second competition of the CDIO at the CHIO Aachen 2007 with a score of 77.60 percent. With her 13-year-old Hanoverian Sao-Paulo son Satchmo, her double gold medallist horse from the 2006 FEI World Equestrian Games in Aachen

, the 37-year-old rider was able to beat her Dutch "rival" Anky van Grunsven, who claimed second place with Salinero (76.84 points).

"On the one hand I am very pleased, because Salinero showed some very good elements, on the other hand I was annoyed at the mistakes we made. He didn't stand still at the halt and the salute, and he stumbled twice in the last trot tour. That cost us the victory," explained the 38-year-old reigning Freestyle World Champion, Anky van Grunsven.

Nadine Capellmann also slipped back a place due to a mistake. "I didn't hear the acoustic signal for my entrance. As soon as I noticed this, I cantered to the entrance as quickly as possible, but it was too late," the rider from Würselen reported. As a result each of the judges deducted 4 points from her score, so she received an overall result of 72.72 percent, which meant fifth place.

The Swiss rider Silvia Iklé came third, having been awarded 75 percent for the performance of her 13-year-old Sinclair son. "Salieri still has room for potential improvement and was in very good form here," the 58-year-old noted.

Fourth place went to Jan Brink, who picked up a score of 73.36 percent with his 16-year-old Swedish stallion Briar. The 46-year-old Swedish rider has already competed at two Olympic Games with Briar and was eighth at the FEI World Equestrian Games in Aachen. "Briar is still top fit and motivated," his rider said joyfully.
