Caroline Pawluk Takes Over Ride on Bergolio OLD

German based Polish young rider Caroline Pawluk has taken over the ride on Hof Kasselmann's Bergolio OLD.

Bergolio OLD is a 14-year old Oldenburg by Bordeaux out of Hitara (by Rosier x Tin Rocco x Luxus). He is bred by Christoph Tantzen

Licensed Stallion

Bergolio OLD was licensed at the 2014 Oldenburg Saddle Licensing in Vechta, where he was named reserve champion. The premium stallion sold at auction for 80,000 euro to a "local customer", Dr. Klaus Crone-Münzebrock.

He was gelded to be focused on sport.

Sport Career

He was first competed by Lukas Fischer in 2014 in the riding horse tests and qualified for the Bundeschampionate, initially as reserve pair, but got to go. They were 7th in the 3-year old mares and geldings class.

Fisher took him up the levels and placed second at the 2015 Oldenburg Young Horse Championships in Rastede. In 2015 they were nominated to compete at the Bundeschampionate and were 16th in the 4-year old class.

Almost a year break from national showing followed. In 2016 they tried to qualify on the German team for the 2016 World Young horse Championships, but missed out on their third consecutive Bundeschampionate. Fischer and Bergolio were back in 2017 at headed to the Bundeschampionate to place 18th in the 6-year old Finals.

As of 2018 Lukas' wife Tanja took over the ride briefly, while in 2020 Viola Abrahams got on board. As of 2021 Andre Hecker was showing Bergolio at S-level. In October and November 2024 Hof Kasselmann's team rider Valentin Munkedal rode the gelding at PSG level in Ankum?

The Dusseldorf based Caroline Pawluk has taken over the ride on the bright bay and premiered Bergolio this weekend to post 70.516%.

Caroline has been competing Furst Fernando OLD at young riders/S-level. She trains with Jan Bemelmans.
