Tinne Vilhelmson Finds Winning Form on New Horse, Hyatt

Swedish Olympian Tinne Vilhelmson-Silfven has premiered a new competition horse, Hyatt, and immediately showed a winning form on the horse in the medium tour at the 2023 CDI Wellington on 17 - 19 March 2023.

German Beginnings

This Dutch bred mare started her sport career in Germany as a 4-year old in 2016 under Spaniard Unai Eneko Paredes Pujol, who had found the horse in Holland at DWH Stables.

The pair competed at A-level in 2016 at regional shows in the Oldenburg area, in 2017 they moved up to M-level and showed lightly through 2018.

Hof Kasselmann acquired Hyatt and resold it to Anna Christina Abbelen, who premiered the mare in Krefeld in September 2018 at M-level.

In 2020 she moved her up to developing Prix St Georges horse level and contested the Nurnberger Burgpokal qualifier in 2021.

In 2022 the pair reached Grand Prix level and made their Inter II debut in Ankum in February of that year. They had their international show debut in the medium tour at the CDI Motesice (SVK), where they scored a hattrick.

In December 2022 Hof Kasselmann sold Hyatt to Tinne Vilhelmson's long-time sponsor, Antonia Ax:son Johnson. 

The new duo has been getting to known each other in Wellington, Florida, and made its international debut on 17 - 19 March 2023. They finished fourth in the Intermediaire A with 64.706% and on the Intermediaire II with 72.294% on Sunday.

Each winter, Vilhelmson spends her winters training and competing in Wellington, Florida, at Ax:son Johnson's Lovsta south yard on Palm Beach Point. 

This 2023 season in Wellington Vilhelmson has been competing her number one Devanto in the big tour, while introducing the 8-year old Oldenburg Bestseller (by Bordeaux x Rohdiamant) to the national developing Prix St Georges tests.

"We bought him as a 4-year old in the Oldenburger Auction," Tinne told eurodressage. "Our rider Linnea Cöster competed him as 5 and 6 year old."

Tinne's assistant rider Caroline Darcourt has taken over the ride and successfully shown Lord Django (by ) at international Grand Prix, alongside Bournonville (by Bon Bravour x Loudini) in the medium tour, and acclaimed 11-year old breeding stallion Bon Coeur (by Benetton Dream x Sandro Hit) at small tour level.

The ride on Etoine (by Vivaldi x Balzflug) has been passed on to Swedish international show jumping rider Sophie Morner (42), who competed him at national small tour level in Wellington.
