The Danish-German dressage couple Malene Ebbesen Kohlschmidt and Maik Kohlschmidt have moved barns again and have now relocated to Klosterhof Medingen in Bad Bevensen, Germany.

Round the turn of the year, the newly wed Kohlschmidts packed up their horses and moved from Denmark to Petra Wilm's Gestut Tasdorf, where they would start their own independent business.

However, Tasdorf could not live up to the standard of care that the Kohlschmidts wanted for their horses and already in February they reloaded their truck and temporarily moved to Jessica Schwiebert's Helenenhof near Hamburg. The couple has now decided on Klosterhof Medingen, where they will run their business.

Initially having worked at state stud Neustadt/Dosse, the German born Maik Kohlschmidt became an assistant trainer at Blue Hors Stud in Denmark, before accepting a job as bereiter at Andreas Helgstrand's dealing yard in Vodskov, Denmark. Maik's wife, Danish Grand Prix rider Malene Ebbesen, had her own independent business at Jan Bastrup Pedersen's yard in Hobro, Denmark.
