Stallion Station Pape has sold its 9-year old Oldenburg licensed stallion San Remo. Under Susan Draper-Pape the gorgeous black stallion won the bronze medal at the 2006 World Young Horse Championships in Verden.
San Remo is bred by Gerlinde Reinhardt from Gestüt Hamperhof and is by Sandro Hit out of Donja Anjana (by Donnerhall x Fruhwind). He was licensed for the Oldenburg verband and scored high notes in the stallion performance test, receiving 9.0 for trot, 10 for canter and 9.5 for walk and rideability.
As a youngster he was extremely successful in the show ring. As a 5-year old he won bronze at the 2006 World Yong Horse Championships in Verden and at the Bundeschampionate in Warendorf. As a 7-year old he made his introduction to S-level and he was schooling the piaffe and passage.
Following an illness, San Remo had to be withdrawn from Pape's 2010 stallion roster as his semen quality no longer ensured pregnancy. In October 2010 the Papes sold San Remo.
"With a heavy heart but in the belief that we did the right thing, we decided to give away San Remo into private hands," Pape stated. "Herewith San Remo ends his career as breeding stallion and sport horse and we wish him all the best at his new home."
