Sophia Obel Jorgensen had to say goodbye to her Under 25 Grand Prix horse Highfive Fuglsang. The 11-year old gelding has been put to sleep.
Highfive Fuglsang was by Grand Galaxy Win out of elite mare Holiday (by De Niro x Hill Hawk xx). He was bred by Anne-Dorte Riis Laursen at Fuglsang stud.
Norwegian Owned, Danish Licensing
The grey stallion sold as a foal to Norwegians Ronja and Else Dahlseng as a future ride for Ronja. The colt was reared in Denmark at the breeder's stable and quickly developed into a stallion prospect.
Highfive was sent to Hesselhoj to be prepared for the licensed and was approved at the 2018 Danish warmblood stallion licensing in Herning. He did his 35-day stallion performance test in the autumn of 2018.
Trained and competed by Anders Sjobeck Hoeck, Highfive Fuglsang won silver as a 4-year old at the 2019 Danish Young Horse Championships. In 2020 he was selected to represent Denmark at the World Young Horse Championships but the event was cancelled due to corona. An almost two year break from competition sport followed.
Highfive returned to the arena in the late spring of 2022 and got selected as a 7-year old for the 2022 World Young Horse Championships in Ermelo, where he finished 13th in the Finals. They also won silver at the 2022 Danish Young Horse Championships.
The horse did not compete in 2023.
Sold to Danish Junior

The new pair debuted nationally in January 2024 to a 71,316% Prix St Georges score, and internationally at senior small tour level at the CDI Herning in March 2024, placing third in the PSG with 71,372%. Three weeks later they competed in the young riders tests at the CDI Aachen Festival 4 Dressage, followed by Aalborg and Hagen. They skipped the 2024 Danish Young Riders Championships at the start of June. They were nominated on the Danish team for the 2024 European Young Riders Championships but had to withdraw and were replaced by the first reserve (Thilde Rude Hare).
The pair returned to the international ring in March 2025 in Herning, followed by Tolbert and Aalborg. The latter show in May 2025 was their last international, but nationally the duo was fifth at the 2025 Danish YR Championships. In August 2025 they did their first Intermediaire II test and competed at U25 Grand Prix level in Denmark until 2 November 2025.
Untimely Passing

"For the past year, we have tried so hard to get you better, doing everything we could to give you the chance to get back again," she explained. "But there was nothing more to do and you have been through enough, and it was time to let you find peace."
Sophia added, "run free now, my beautiful boy. No more pain, no more fighting. Thank you for everything you gave me. You will always have a special place in my heart, and I will miss you more than words can ever explain."
