Heidi Humphries of Zen Elite equestrian has secured the horse Rosebank VH and allocated a new rider for her Grand Prix horse Lars van de Hoenderheide.

Adrienne Lyle's long-time student Katie Duerhammer recently went independent from her private sponsor, Kylee Lourie, and became a free agent working out of Zen Elite's Wellington facility.

Zen Elite, however, has decided to provide stability for the 38-year old rider by purchasing the 8-year old the Swedish warmblood stallion Rosebank VH (by Revolution x Dalwhinnie) from Lourie. The latter bought "Ross" in the summer of 2023 for Katie to ride. The pair won the 2025 U.S. Young Horse Championship for 7-year olds and they made their international debut at small tour level in April 2026.

"We couldn’t be happier to give this wonderful partnership the opportunity to keep growing, dreaming, and reaching for everything that lies ahead. The best part of this new chapter is that they get to write it together," said Humphries

Heidi also allocated the ride on the 15-year old Belgian warmblood Lars van de Hoenderheide (by Negro x Layout x Romeo) to Katie. Humphries bought the chestnut in January 2024 after he was shown by Lottie Fry at international Grand Prix level. The chestnut was meant as an Olympic hopeful for Adrienne Lyle, but Helix ended up being her better scoring horse. Lyle showed Lars only briefly between March and June 2024. The horse got injured and hasn't been shown since. He's expected to make a come back this winter with Katie.

"Lars is getting ready to show everyone his dance moves in the arena very soon," Humphries stated. "We are so excited to watch this partnership grow and can’t wait to cheer them on." Katie has "always held a special place in our Zen family, and it makes us so happy to officially welcome her to our riding team, too! We believe in her and her bright future, and can’t wait to be part of everything that’s still to come."
