2026 French Dressage Championships

Belgian based Antoine Nowakowski and mare Daenerys became the winners of the 2026 French Championships for 7-year olds which were held in Le Mans on 16 - 17 October 2026.

For the tenth year running, the 7-year old championships were held in Le Mans. They were supposed to coincide with a CDI but after only fifty entries were made for the international, the organizers decided to drop the CDI and continue with national classes instead.

A field of only 8 horses participated in the two-round Championship (last year there were 12).

Daenerys Wins

Nowakowski and the Oldenburg mare Daenerys (by Vitalis x Fidertanz x de Niro) led the field and won both rounds: the preliminary test with 79,041% and the Finals test with 79.179%.

Daenerys is bred in Belgium by Martin Pirotte and Oldenburg registered. Pirotte also has offspring out if Daenerys, an embryotransfer son by Total McLaren named Take Off. The mare is co-owned by Christelle Lejeune.

"What a weekend for Daenerys," said Antoine. "She won the French Championship for 7-year-olds with a personal best in both tests. She was with me from the first step to the last, and I couldn’t be prouder of her."

Top Three

Nowakowski was joined on the podium by French young rider Mathilde Juglaret and Charlotte Chalvignac Vesin.

Last year's bronze medal winning Mathilde Juglaret now steered Pablo Bouillot's Hanoverian mare Finest Pearl Des Paluds (by Finest x De Niro) to silver after scoring 79.007 % in the preliminary test and 78.786% in the finals test.

The bronze medal went to Charlotte Chalvignac Vesin on the Oldenburg bred Secret Life Majishan (by Secret x Sir Donnerhall). They posted 79.007% and 78.786%.
