Two Colts Accepted at 2026 KWPN Saddle Licensing, Preceding Performance Test

Two of the three presented colts in the KWPN saddle licensing in Ermelo on 14 October 2026 have been accepted to participate in the upcoming 2026 KWPN Autumn Stallion Performance Test.

The "saddle presentation" with licensing is the start of the whole KWPN performance test process. Previously accepted colts at the licensing in March were now presented to the committee to see if they are fit and capable to start the performance test.

A total of 38 colts took place in the presentation and three extra ones in the saddle licensing. All bar one were accepted to continue the process.

Saddle Licensing

The two accepted colts in the saddle licensing were Dodge Viper L (by Hesselhoj Donkey Boy x Belissimo M), bred by L Horses and co-owned with Peter Van de Sande, as well as Tiger Woods USB (by Iron x Bretton Woods) owned by Stal Brouwer and Joop van Uytert.

Saddle Presentation

All 38 colts in the saddle presentation were invited to the second saddle presentation on 6 November. If they pass that moment, they can begin the KWPN Autumn Stallion Performance Test on 17 November.

“We received a lot of information today, and everything went as planned," said licensing committee chair Bart Bax. "After each group’s presentation, we spoke with the owners. Overall, the stallions demonstrated a solid foundation in terms of trainability and movement. Some stallions were still a bit nervous, but for most of them visibly improved during the presentation. Some stallions have already been exposed more than others, so we certainly don’t want to judge them based on a little nervousness. As a committee, we came away with a good impression of today’s saddle presentation, and there was also a large crowd in the stands. We look forward to the next evaluation session with this excellent group of stallions.”
