Supporters of the Pferd International München decided to join forces and make the 2027 CDI Munich happen

The future of the "Pferd International München 2027" (CDI Munich) was precarious

The 40-year old international dressage and show jumping competition known as Pferd International" had been struggling to find sponsors and would not be able to cover the costs.

Show organizer Jürgen Blum, however, joined forces with significant supporters in a special meeting on Wednesday 7 October  to discuss the future of the event.

Attendees included representatives from the Bavarian Horse Breeders Association with Tobias Galmbacher; the Bavarian Riding and Driving Association with Managing Director Thomas Schreder; the Munich Riding Academy; course designer Jacqueline Schmieder and equestrian magazine Bayerns Pferde Zucht und Sport.

The result of the meeting was that the CDI/CSI will take place on 6 - 9 May 2027 as planned.

"All parties agreed to collaborate more closely on the upcoming event scheduled for early May 2027," the press release stated. "Plans are in place to redefine areas of responsibility and to more actively involve the shareholders operating at the Olympic Equestrian Center in the organization, operational flow and planning processes. Those involved anticipate that this approach will foster stronger networking, leverage diverse synergies, expand the range of offerings for participants, exhibitors and visitors. Responsibilities will be defined and assigned within the coming weeks, ensuring that exhibitors, participants, and visitors receive concrete information regarding the event schedule in a timely manner."
